luke.francl.org lives!

My new homepage is alive: http://luke.francl.org

Expect to see some actual, you know, text there soon. DNS will take a while to propogate as well.

Update: There is now some text on the page. I've started updating links around the net to point to this new page. Please use http://luke.francl.org when linking to "me" (as opposed to my weblog) instead of http://acm.cs.umn.edu/~look . The old page will remain vaild but only for historical purposes.

The Homeless Guy Weblog

Kevin Bardieux, a homeless man in Nashville has a weblog: The Homeless Guy. It's interesting reading; it puts a face on someone you'd probably otherwise pointedly avoid. His story about how people become homeless is insightful. Bardieux belongs to the group of people the book Class called the "bottom out of sights" -- people so low on the class hierarchy that they are invisible. Yet his weblog is so unique in its novelty that he is given a voice. [via Seb's Open Research]
