ArsTechnica:
Goin' Mobile. I'm one of the 3% who don't have a landline. I have a
friend who used to work at Qwest, and she said they call this "loss of
primary access" and it really worries them. Let 'em burn, I say.

Like most geeks, I love
The Onion.
American Journalism Review has a cool article about
how the editors of The Onion create the hilarious newspaper:
Peeling the Onion
They also have a scary poll about
the First Amendment. Hold on, Jefferson, half of those surveyed think the
First Amendment goes too far and further more, about half of those
surveyed think the press has been too agressive trying to get details from
the government about the war on terrorism. Too agressive? I think I'll
go calm down with a nice dose of Media
Whores Online, even though it's a
guilty pleasure.
Speaking of MWO, I saw this there:
A Letter to Anne Coulter

Ray Ozzie has a good post on Digital Restrictions Management and the
trouble that users have with the concept:
Nondiscretionary Controls: can't live with 'em, can't.... I saw this on
Ed Felton's weblog,
Freedom to Tinker.
Felton also has some good posts recently.
In Source Code and
Object Code he clarifies Lessig's distinction between "source code" and
"object code" and points out the nagging problems that might have for the
constitutionality of restrictions on code.
I also really enjoy his
Misleading Terms category, like
"Content Owner".

Testing Mail-to-Blog Gateway
This is an email to myself which should be posted in the Bloxsom blog that
I am using. Being able to use autoformatting makes this much more useful,
as I can include links and
formatting and other stuff.
