The Onion Archives News In Brief
Wow, I didn't notice this until just now, but The Onion is now archiving
their funny
News In Brief. Looks like they've got archives online going back to 1997.
Awesome! Too bad you can't link directly to individual stories.

Patrick Farley's released episode 2 of his
Barracuda webcomic about
dot-com San Francisco.
Tony: I'm not sure why, nor if it's a good or bad
thing, but that Scott guy reminds me of you, Luke.
If you like this, you should also check out his powerful "long form" comic

I created a new power profile for my laptop today: Crotch Saver.
Crotch Saver has the maximum LCD brightness available so I can actually
read the monitor, but the lowest power consumption possible for the CPU
so I can keep the computer in my lap a little longer before I go sterile.

I seem to be having some DNS problems with this website. I don't think it's
Dotster's fault because all the other subdomains on this box
(like eikon.recursion.org) are working fine. Unfortunately, I do not know
what the problem is. I can reach the site from some networks but not others
at various times.
Update: Apparently my secondary nameserver doesn't yet know about this
hostname. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.

I went to the
Autumn Brew Review
with some friends yesterday. Over 30 breweries from as far away as
Michigan and Montana were there, but most of the beer was from in-state
microbreweries. It was a great chance to sample some really good beer
(not to mention get pretty damn loaded on a hot summer day).
