RIP, Jane Jacobs (1916-2006)

Urbanist Jane Jacobs passed away yesterday. Her contributions to urbanism will be felt for a long time to come. Along with Christopher Alexander, I consider her one of my favorite writers on the built environment.

Apropos: Just last week I read an article about her macroeconomic theories: It's the cities, stupid: Jane Jacobs on Cities.

866-383-0986

I have my resume on the internet, so I get a lot of calls from recruiters. I don't mind; you never know when you're going to need one. So I don't usually answer my phone unless I know who is calling. Usually, I'll do a quick Google on the number to see if they're in Google's database.

I don't usually find an entire thread about whoever just called me: 866-383-0986. Apparently, it's some sort of domain name scam.
